Sorry to Bother You

Musician and activist Boots Riley makes an incredible debut with this breathlessly inventive and funny fantastical satire that savages the absurdity of capitalism and racism. In an alternate reality of present-day Oakland, California, black telemarketer Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) uses his ‘white voice’ to get a promotion. As Green’s career begins to take off, Cassius soon falls under the spell of Steve Lift (Armie Hammer), a cocaine-snorting CEO who offers him a salary beyond his wildest dreams. Swept into a corporate conspiracy, he must choose between profit and joining his activist friends to fight for proper working conditions
